What You’ll Learn

The Advanced Open Water course is built around five Adventure Dives, including two mandatory dives:

Deep Dive: Learn to plan and execute dives beyond 18 meters (60 feet) safely.
Underwater Navigation Dive: Master compass use and natural navigation techniques for confident exploration.

You’ll also select three elective adventure dives from a variety of options tailored to your interests:

Drift Diving
Boat Diving
Fish Identification
Peak Performance Buoyancy
Digital Underwater Photography
Search and Recovery

These dives allow you to gain real-world experience and even earn credits toward future PADI Specialty Courses if you wish to continue your training.

Course Details

Your Advanced Open Water Diver course with Epic Diving includes:

Five adventure dives with professional instruction
Tank rentals (unless otherwise specified)
Weights and weight belt
Training materials, certification, and instructor fees

Gear Requirements:

Students must provide their own personal gear (mask, fins, snorkel, and exposure suit) or rent a full set from Epic Diving.

Requirements

Must be a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent certification)
Minimum age: 15 years old (12 for Junior Advanced)
Good overall health; some participants may require a doctor’s clearance
Basic swimming ability and comfort in open water
