Our Story

Epic Diving specializes in safe, up-close encounters with a variety of shark species throughout the Bahamas. From the ubiquitous reef shark, larger than life tiger shark, to the ultra-rare Oceanic Whitetip shark, our expeditions are nonstop heart pounding excitement.

Founded 2009 by Vincent Canabal & Debra Canabal, Epic Diving has come a long way from its beginnings in Cat Island, Bahamas. From the moment we founded Epic Diving, our vision and hope to share our passion for sharks with visitors from around the world, and help them understand the desperate need sharks have for protection and hope to create global shark advocates through these unique experiences gave us the motivation to turn hard work and inspiration into to shark diving expeditions and tours in the Bahamas.

Our Mission

Our fascination with sharks has grown to a love and recognition of the fact that sharks need our protection.

Responsible shark tourism supports breaking many of the myths that hurt sharks reputation. We will not be able to protect sharks if people remain indifferent, or continue to demonize them. We make every effort to show sharks in their true element, natural and beautiful, and hope that the experiences of our guests, along with their photos and stories, help to spread shark advocacy around the globe!

Our Promise

We strive to deliver a level of service that exceeds the expectations of our guests. Our safety record is impeccable and of highest priority. We have experienced guides in the water with you at all times. Each week begins with a safety and orientation briefing where you’ll learn how to interact with the sharks.

Guests can expect calm, crystal clear water for a week filled with up close shark encounters. These expeditions are a dream for underwater photographers and life changing experiences for novice shark divers.

We now serve customers all over the world, and we’re still growing. But our vision won’t change. We are thrilled to be a part of the eco-friendly wing of the Tourism industry.

We hope you enjoy our tours as much as we enjoy offering them to you. If you have any questions or comments, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
