Not at all! If you’re an Open Water Diver (or equivalent), you can enroll. Our team provides a full orientation, and you’ll be diving under the guidance of experienced shark professionals.

Will I get to dive with sharks during the course?

Yes! Epic Diving specializes in safe, respectful shark encounters. You’ll apply what you’ve learned underwater, diving alongside species like reef sharks, tiger sharks, or oceanic whitetips, depending on the season.

How long does the course take?

The Shark Conservation Specialty is typically completed in one to two days, depending on conditions and dive schedules

Is this course suitable for underwater photographers?

Absolutely. Shark dives with Epic Diving are perfect opportunities to capture powerful images. Many of our guests combine this specialty with the Digital Underwater Photography course.

What certification will I earn?
