What to Pack for a Shark Diving Day Trip in the Bahamas
A shark diving day trip in the Bahamas promises adventure, adrenaline, and unforgettable memories. Packing the right items ensures you enjoy every moment comfortably and safely. Here’s our essential guide for preparing for a full day on the water with Epic Diving.
Dive Gear:
If you have your own equipment, bring your mask, snorkel, fins, and full-length wetsuit. Don’t forget your regulator set, BCD, dive computer and a backup mask. Gloves are required as well. While we provide tanks, weights, and belts, having your own equipment ensures a perfect fit and maximum comfort.
Clothing:
Lightweight, breathable clothing is best before and after your dives. A hat and sunglasses protect you from the sun, and a quick-dry towel comes in handy.
Photography & Electronics:
Underwater cameras or action cameras allow you to capture your encounters with tiger sharks, and other marine life. Protect devices with waterproof cases and bring extra memory cards and batteries.
Sun & Skin Protection:
Even on overcast days, the Bahamian sun is strong. Reef-safe sunscreen and lip balm are essential. A light, long-sleeve shirt adds extra protection between dives.
Food & Hydration:
We provide refreshments and snacks, as well as a souvenir water bottle so ensure you stay hydrated throughout the day. Consider packing a small snack if you have special dietary needs.
Personal Items:
Don’t forget seasickness remedies if you’re prone to motion sickness. A small dry bag can keep personal items safe and dry.
Being prepared maximizes your comfort and enjoyment. With the right packing, you can focus on the adventure, the stunning scenery, and, of course, the incredible sharks. Every detail matters when you’re on the water with Epic Diving.
