Once we’re anchored at our planned dive site, there will be sharks all around the boat. During this time, divers should be doing their final gear checks, making sure they have their weights situated and completing their buddy checks. Once set, we’ll be jumping right in, so make sure you’re ready to go.
If you’re carrying a camera, make sure your batteries are charged and your housing locked. We do not want divers attaching their cameras to themselves during the dives with lanyards or clips. On rare occasions, the sharks have been known to grab cameras and we don’t want divers getting carried away. Don’t worry, if they do get a hold of your camera, they have always let it go and the crew will retrieve it for you. You’re much more likely to damage your system if you get into a tug-of-war with a Tiger Shark!
