Shark enthusiasts love to site the statistics of things that are more dangerous than sharks. Lightning, toaster ovens, vending machines…you name it. Well, it’s safe to say, we can add traveling on boats to that list. We know that people are visiting from all over the world and with different experience on the ocean. But it’s worth reminding everyone that simply walking around on a moving boat that may be wet, slippery, and bouncing in ocean swells poses more of a health/safety threat than diving with the sharks. Add in a few steps, ladders, and wet dive gear, and you really need to be cautious moving around.
We’ll start off with a quick discussion of our dive boat and showcase the safety features and associated gear.
